Check the 3D graphics in this golf game
Tiger Woods 99 PGA Tour is a home PC golf game that is taking advantage of the advances in 3D graphics and new video drivers. This demo lets you see one hole's worth of eye-popping realism as you play a par 3 at Sawtooth Country Club. You can set cuts or fades, high or low trajectory, and control the length, power, and accuracy of the swing. Then watch Tiger swing away. Multiple views let you watch the golfer, see the plan view of the hole, or fly with the ball down the length of the fairway. All impressive, but unfortunately the demo doesn't tell you much about the options available in the real game. Can you change clubs, are there crowd sounds, can you play a Mulligan? This demo would better serve the prospective buyer by offering a bit more information. Reviewed on Aug 28 1998.
